The idea takes shape
2007
The idea for an in-house wheel alignment system came about through collaboration with the Porsche Super Cup team Hysec Competition. The first system was specifically developed and built to meet the team’s requirements – and subsequently sparked the interest of Audi Customer Racing.
The first major commission
2008
From an in-house idea for a wheel alignment system, a contract emerges: Audi Customer Racing is convinced by the concept, and the development of a proprietary system for the Audi R8 Ultra GT3 is commissioned. The first wheel alignment system for this vehicle is created.
Birth of CP Autosport
2010
The development of the system is being driven forward independently, and a measurement system branded Audi Customer Racing is being implemented – Audi subsequently purchases 15 systems. This development then gives rise to the CP Autosport System, supplemented by wheel adapters for common GT3 and GT4 vehicles.
Setup Wizard 2.0 is launching
2016
The SetupWizard 2.0 launches in the Easy, Basic and ProLine variants and brings significant improvements compared with the Audi system: a single path cell instead of three small sensors, a larger diameter of the SetupWheel, a revised electronics concept, improved Bluetooth communication, and a telescopic track-width gauge. In March of the same year, we deliver the first system to the USA as well as the first system for a prototype project with Ligier LMP3.
Fully digital in Formula E
Februar 2018
With the delivery of the first fully digital measurement system to Audi in Formula E, implemented as a customised variant, we are setting another technological milestone.
Full equipment package in Class 1 DTM
Juni 2019
Audi Sport will be fully equipped with our system for the former Class 1 DTM.
Setup Wizard 2.1
Ende 2020
The SetupWizzard 2.1 is coming to market in the Easy, Basic and Pro variants. It features improved analogue track measurement, adapted SetupWheels with a slimmer design for a greater steering angle and a larger load plate, standard caster measurement, as well as revised SetupWizzard software with device connection and the option to enter offset and differential weights.
Customer The Eleven Company
Januar 2021
With the order from The Eleven Company, a trading and service company specialising in classic Porsche sports cars, we are gaining our first customer outside motorsport. A workshop in the private customer segment is being supplied with the fully digital 2.1 system. In the same month, the first system is also shipped to China.
Market entry into Japan
Februar 2021
The first system arrives in Japan and is then handed over there to our distribution partner.
Appearance in Formula 2
Februar 2022
We are equipping the Van Amersfoort Racing team in Formula 2 with our system.
Premiere in the hypercar segment
Februar 2024
Aston Martin is receiving our system for calibrating the Valkyrie – our first system in the hypercar segment.
Global solution for Bugatti
August 2024
For Bugatti, we are implementing a bespoke solution: all Bugatti workshops worldwide will be equipped with our system.
Setup Wizard 2.2 with WizardOS
Januar 2025
With SetupWizzard 2.2, we are switching to the BaseLine, ProLine and Digital variants – the former Easy variant is being discontinued; Basic becomes BaseLine, Pro becomes ProLine, and with Digital we are introducing a completely new variant. It offers fully digital measurement of camber and toe, a completely newly developed camber sensor as well as an enhanced measuring platform. At the same time, we are introducing the WizzardOS software in the form we know today.
